About the Role 
We are on the hunt for a motivated Water Treatment Plant Supervisor to join our team in Kaikohe. Reporting to the Treatment Plant Manager you will lead the Water Operations on 5 days of the week and weekends as rostered, with a requirement to cover on call. This diverse position will take you both indoors and outdoors, offering a variety of tasks that will utilise your meticulous attention to detail and high levels of energy. You'll thrive in our collaborative environment and embrace the challenges that come with this vital role.

•    Leading the wastewater operations on five days of the week and weekends as rostered, with a requirement to cover on call.
•    Ensure that Water and Wastewater services are operating efficiently and economically and meet the needs of their users.
•    Ensuring that resources and personnel are utilised effectively and in accordance with organisational objectives, as well as making sure that relevant records and analysis are maintained daily.
•    Be flexible in work response including emergencies and rostered duties
•    Servicing equipment according to maintenance schedules.
•    Proactive approach to reporting problems and inefficiencies and proposing solutions

About You
To be successful in this role, it is expected that you will have a mechanical or electrical aptitude and experience in a processing/manufacturing environment. You will have practical knowledge of water supply pumping stations and treatment systems.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Proficiency in conducting day-to-day maintenance on water monitoring instrumentation and plant equipment
•    At least 5 years of experience in water treatment including leadership experience
•    Troubleshoot and resolve plant equipment and process interruptions 
•    An unwavering commitment to always providing safe and healthy water to our community
•    It is crucial that you have strong leadership skills/experience and the ability to form relationships with the team, the wider organisation and other stakeholders  
    Flexibility in approach to undertaking daily work
