Ventia are seeking a highly motivated individual to join their team as a Transmission Line Mechanic Trainee.

ABOUT YOU
As the successful candidate, you will need to be mechanically minded and have an interest in the Power industry; enjoy physical activities and prefers working outdoors vs being sat in an office; and will need to be physically fit and strong and not be bothered by climbing or working at heights
A typical day will likely be spent out on the field and will also take you to remote areas in New Zealand that you otherwise might not have the opportunity to visit
Not only are you going to be able to work towards getting a qualification, but you will have the opportunity to gain practical skills you can use in your day to day life.
You will need to be prepared to travel away from home for work; be practical with manual tasks and hand tools; and have a valid full Class 1 driver’s licence. A minimum of NCEA Level 1 is preferred but not essential.
If you have a good eye for detail, are keen to learn and commit to a training programme, and enjoy working within a team environment, then this is the perfect role for you!
