KEY DELIVERABLES OF THE ROLE

In this role you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of live/de-energised conductors, hardware, and structures used in the National Transmission Grid, including as required the erection, repair, and/or dismantling of assets. You will follow work to all and safety procedures as well as statutory requirements.

This is a full-time, permanent role with a minimum 40 hours a week guaranteed. This role is based in the Hawke's Bay region. This role will be paying between $35 to $40 NZD an hour. 

ABOUT YOU – Required Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in Transmission lines work in New Zealand or overseas.
  • Must hold an EWRB Line Mechanic Trainee Limited Certificate
  • Testing and Electrical Safety.
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Experience climbing transmission towers and or similar.
  • Valid driver’s license and experience driving appropriate vehicles on all roads, terrain, and weather conditions; Heavy truck license preferred.
  • Excellent attitude to SHEQ.
  • Physically fit especially with regards to heavy lifting, stretching, and climbing.
  • Comfortability with working at heights.
