About the Role
We are on the hunt for four motivated and energetic Cable Jointer to join our team in Auckland, this role offers proven career growth with on-going training and development provided. This is a hands-on role, ensuring assigned work is done within given time frames and meets and exceeds client KPI’s / expectations. Working on the local distribution network, carrying out LV and or HV jointing and termination work, including installation and maintenance of network substations.

This is a full-time, permanent role with a minimum of 40 hours per week, 7am – 3:30pm
 

About you

  • Relevant Cable Jointing qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in High Voltage (110KV – 220KV) and or low voltage (11Kv- 33 KV)
  • Hands on experience in cable jointing work to industry standards
  • Valid Class 1 Drivers Licence and experience driving vehicles on all roads, terrain and weather conditions
  • Preference will be given to candidates that hold an EWRB Limited Cable Jointer Licence
  • Sound technical Knowledge of cables and local network systems, procedures and standards
  • A strong commitment to health and safety
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using hand tools
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in all aspects of live LV/HV work
  • Demonstrates familiarity with necessary equipment – switchgears and transformers, cables (pilc, oil, gas xlpe), cable joints and terminations (Raychem, 3M, Elastimould, resin) etc.
  • Strong knowledge in electrical theory and knowledge when working within a HV/LW switchyard regarding isolations, earthing, equipotential bonding.
  • Installation of medium voltage joints and terminations up to 33kv
