KEY DELIVERABLES OF THE ROLE
In this role you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of live/de-energised conductors, hardware, and structures used in the National Transmission Grid, including as required the erection, repair, and/or dismantling of assets. You will follow work to all and safety procedures as well as statutory requirements.
This is a full-time, permanent role with a minimum 40 hours a week guaranteed. This role is based in Wellington and will be working across the Wellington Region. This role will be paying between $35 to $40 NZD an hour.
ABOUT YOU – Required Skills and Competencies
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in Transmission Lines work in New Zealand or overseas
- Must hold an EWRB Line Mechanic Trainee Limited Certificate
- Testing and Electrical Safety.
- First Aid and CPR
- Experience climbing transmission towers and or similar.
- Valid driver’s license and experience driving appropriate vehicles on all roads, terrain, and weather conditions; Heavy truck license preferred.
- Excellent attitude to SHEQ.
- Physically fit especially with regards to heavy lifting, stretching, and climbing.
- Comfortability with working at heights.
