The Venue

Savor Group is excited to announce that we’re opening a new venue! One where the service is casual in style but executed with purpose. Whether a guest is enjoying our high-tech entertainment, dining, or just grabbing a drink, we’re looking for people who are attentive, knowledgeable, and proactive – always offering solutions. We’re creating a space that’s high-energy, welcoming, and memorable.

The Opportunity 

We have an opportunity for experienced industry professionals to step into the role of Sous Chef at our Brand New Britomart venue! Ideally you will have at least 2+ years experience in a comparable role within the hospitality industry, ideally within an upmarket, high volume venue, and experience in Italian or European cuisines. You will have effective team management experience including the ability to train and mentor your team. You will have the capability to maintain high food standards, experience in managing and monitoring financial budgets and food and labour costs, and the flexibility to work across a 7 day roster, including late evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  
In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Managing, and leading the kitchen team in conjunction with the Head Chef
  • Ensuring exceptional product delivery at all times
  • Day to day operation of the kitchen
  • Assuming responsibility in the absence of the Head Chef
  • In conjunction with the head chef, menu planning, costing, including the cost of goods across the kitchen
  • Assisting the Head chef with people practices including, recruitment, performance management, retention, engagement and training
  • Stock management including, ordering, receipting, storage and rotation
