Outage Coordinator

Ventia are seeking an Outage Coordinator to join their team in Islington, Christchurch.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing outage plan in conjunction with the client’s Maintenance schedule.

They will monitor outage related maintenance of all plant and equipment and will be looking after all other tasks associated with outage planning, scheduled/unscheduled  maintenance, projects, and transmission lines work within the Canterbury region.

Additional information

  • Based at our substation in Islington, Christchurch
  • Minimum 40 hours of work per week guaranteed, Monday to Friday
  • Hourly rate range of 34 to 38/hr

ABOUT YOU

  • 3 years HV experience in a substation environment is essential
  • Experience in the High Voltage Electrical industry required
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
  • An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Language Skills - Can correctly interpret written and spoken English information and translate it into the tasks at hand; Fluent verbal English skills; Good written English skills.
  • Safety - Ability to identify and control Hazards and risks; Demonstrated high levels of understanding of and adherence to the Health and Safety practices and regulations of the Low Voltage and High Voltage Industry.
