The Opportunity 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced insurance broker to enhance Aon’s presence in the Cyber Risk Insurance space. 

This is a rapidly emerging market in the insurance industry and a vital component of Aon’s insurance product and risk solution offerings. You will be a credible and trusted source of advice for internal and external stakeholders, leveraging your industry knowledge and experience in insurance broking and risk management. 

We are looking for an experienced insurance broker eager to specialize further. While experience in Cyber Insurance is advantageous, it is not essential. This role offers you the opportunity to grow with the ever-evolving product, supported by expertise and insights from colleagues across the Aon Global network. 

You will be working closely with the National Cyber Practice Leader and other key stakeholders to deliver best in class cyber insurance risk transfer solutions across a portfolio of global & corporate, commercial and SME accounts. Our business is investing in cyber to respond to rapidly expanding risk landscapes and market potential, it is an exciting time to join the team. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Serve as a technical cyber insurance resource to the business 
  • Assist key existing and prospective clients by providing insights and advice on structuring appropriate cyber insurance programs and solutions 
  • Maintain strategic relationships with insurance carrier partners to successfully negotiate appropriate risk transfer solutions based on individual client risk profile 
  • Engagement with clients on cyber risk insurance at C-suite and Risk Manager level 
  • Participation in business development opportunities, including policy wording health-checks, technical and claims commentary in tenders and involvement in new business presentations 
  • Collaborate with Aon’s risk consulting team to support a range of consulting services tailored to meet the cyber risk needs of our clients 
  • Advocating for clients in incident and claim scenarios, ensuring the full potential of risk transfer solutions are realised 
  • Conduct presentations, training and education to clients, colleagues, and industry bodies 

You will work constructively with colleagues across Aon NZ to provide specialist support, aiding in retaining and sourcing business, and ensuring we provide our clients with the best possible advice and protection. 

What are we looking for? 

  • Proven experience in insurance broking, ideally within the financial lines or liability insurance sectors. 
  • Ability to confidently engage with senior stakeholders and cultivate strong relationships. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality presentations. 
  • Excellent time management skills and a a proven ability to self-manage workload effectively. 
  • Strong work ethic and a collaborative spirit, with the ability to excel in a team setting. 
  • An engaging and enthusiastic personal style.
