What You'll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga

AA Battery Service is a joint venture between Club Assist and NZ Automobile Association. AA Battery Service provides the motoring club members with automotive battery supply, mobile battery replacement, and contracted road service solutions.

AABS is searching for a motivated Inventory Controller to join our dynamic team. In this crucial role, you'll be responsible for the accuracy and availability of inventory across all our warehouses nationwide. You'll play a key part in ensuring we meet operational demands, minimize discrepancies, and optimize stock levels.

  • Ensure Inventory Accuracy and Availability: Monitor and control stock levels, conduct cycle counts, and implement best practices to meet operational demands.
  • Optimize Inventory Management: Develop and maintain reports, manage aged inventory, and collaborate with internal/external teams to streamline stock control.
  • Oversee Receipting and Dispatching: Ensure compliance of import containers (as required), maintain accurate receiving documentation, and manage the dispatch process for on-time deliveries.
  • Maintain Detailed Inventory Records: Accurately enter and update inventory data, investigate discrepancies, and keep organized records of stock movements.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within inventory control and participate in implementing new procedures.
  • Support Accurate Forecasting: Attend monthly S&OP meetings and contribute to ensuring accurate inventory forecasts.
  • Uphold Safety Standards: Perform safe work practices and follow health & safety procedures to minimize risks.

About You | Mōu

  • 2-4 years of experience managing inventory in a warehouse/distribution setting.
  • A knack for organization, detail-oriented approach, and ability to work independently.
  • Strong computer skills with ability to manage inventory software/programs, and extract value-added information from them.
  • The physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects (occasionally 25kg batteries).
  • A clean full New Zealand driver's license and a forklift license (Class 2 Truck license a plus).
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods transport and storage control.
  • Accredited Person experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
