Ventia

Nicky Maxwell has been recognised for her contribution to gender diversity as a finalist for the Northern Territory Women in Resources Awards. The Gender Diversity Champion award recognises an individual who has shown excellence in the encouragement, promotion and advocacy for the attraction, retention and promotion of women within their company and the Northern Territory resources sector.

Nicky has been part of Ventia’s TRACE team at the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG project in Darwin for two years. She is a recognised leader for her passion of diversity for her team as well as the broader Ichthys Onshore facility.

Craig Alexander, Ventia’s TRACE Contract Director said Nicky continually goes above and beyond in mentoring and advocating for those around her to have a positive impact on the future of diversity in our workplace.

“Some of the improvements Nicky has implemented include working with one our young Indigenous employees to improve our on-site Cultural Awareness and Appreciation presentation, championing changes to on-site facilities and implementing a ‘Walk With Me’ program so women feel more comfortable as well as advocating for changes to current on-site restrictions for disabled people.”

We are very proud of Nicky’s achievements and the mentorship she provides to women and many other employees at our site in Darwin.
